That's such a shame!! Poor Blaze! I hope his wife will be ok. He always seemed like such a nice bloke and he got such a bad rap in Maiden and for what? For simply not being Bruce.

True about Blaze getting a bad rap for not being Bruce. He was behind the eight-ball from the beginning, but he did well with what he was given and helped keep the band around.

It makes perfect sense to me cos I've experienced it first hand. I've got a friend who's a massive Maiden fan but has never even listened to the Blaze albums. She point blank refuses too and why? In her own words, "Because he's not Bruce." I have seen so much hate for this poor guy & he doesn't deserve it. If you don't like his singing then fair enough but I've seen people ripping into him on a personal level & that's not cool cos everyone I've heard who's met him says he's such a nice bloke. I mean people spitting on him, heckling him onstage & throwing things at him, that's not cool.

I've just been looking around blaze's website and theres no further news......in fact theres not much else been put up since then.
I guess it means no improvement.

Yeah he said its what his wife would have wanted.

Not sure i could do it myself though I'd be in pieces.....maybe its his way of coping keeping a sense of normality about his life.

I gotta take my hat off to him, aint seen him since the wolfsbane days but I gotta lot of respect for the guy.

An update: Former IRON MAIDEN star BLAZE BAYLEY's wife is critically ill in hospital after suffering a stroke.
The rocker's wife Debbie was admitted to hospital in England in July (08) after a brain haemorrhage.
She has since been in a coma, but Bayley has confirmed his wife has now been re-admitted to an intensive care ward.
A message on his website reads, "Debbie suffered a stroke in hospital. This meant that she has been rushed back into intensive care and is once again critically ill.
"He, Debbie's family and friends, and the whole band as well, very much appreciate all of the support that has been sent, especially the huge number of emails and messages."

I read earlier that she passed away. My most heartfelt sympathies are with Blaze and their families.
