Sendin' out an SOS...

Track down some Cracker. He plays DI Bilborough in the first four stories.
Off the top of me 'ead, he's also in eXistenZ, Gone In 60 Seconds, The Others and Elizabeth.

A couple of years ago he did a telemovie, or was it a miniseries? with Russell T. Davies (current Doctor Who producer) called Second Coming. I'd love to see it but it'll never get shown here for fear of offending the Sunday night Compass crowd .

Wrathy, is he the one who was stabbed by Robert Carlyle's character? Cracker was a damn good series, pity I didn't get to see as much as it as I would have liked when it was on recently.

Cracker r00lz. He was also tops in Shallow Grave, which is where I first saw him, and he was brilliant in his small role in The Others.

"Wrathchild: what brand and model is your DVD drive?"

All I can find on the drive itself is the brand name MSI and a DVD logo with R/RW printed underneath. Anything more than that is in the manual, which I have to turn my desk inside out to find

I've lent the disc to a friend who'll have a go at converting it into a format I can watch. Fingers crossed...

MSI (a well-known motherboard manufacturer) is not the first name that comes to mind when discussing DVD drives; from what I gather, they're decent, if not outstandingly good, performers. A "no disc in drive" error is a side-effect of lousy DVD media and/or drives. See if your friend can copy the disc to another DVD, preferably Verbatim, TDK or Sony, and see how you go.

I watched it last night! Top stuff. Top stuff indeed. It's very nearly right, and I'm sure once they get a chance to be comfortable with it it will be classic Who all over again!

So I've now got on VCD if I can return the offer Wrath...

I'm expecting a watchable copy any day now, Phlog. Thanks anyhoo :).

Future episodes will be heading my way as soon as they're available for download. Ain't the internet grand? It's just like the old days except now I don't have to wait for English penpals to send tapes over :D.

Have you heard about the terrific ratings? TEN FUCKIN' MILLION for the first episode alone! Things haven't been that good since Tom Baker's day :headbang:.
