Sepultura is going to release a live album...

I have never found Sepultura to be a band that is very set apart from others. Even when they first started out, they were just another thrash band. Not to mention the fact the Roots is awful; it might as well be Soulfly. But hey, to each his own; if hearing the same thing over and over is your bag, then go for it.

I think Schizophrenia is the best realease by them. And Beneath and Arise are great to. But I find everything after that boring, repetive, and simply bad. That includes Chaos and Roots.

ive just listened to beneath for the first time, and i loooove it. i was expecting shit like soulfly, but it rocks good

Ya i also prefer Beneath the Remains and Arise (which is a classic IMO). Chaos AD has its moments but you can here the overturn to that tribal nu-metal crap the put out on roots. Although, I like about four songs from roots the rest is easily forgetable.

Yeah, Sepultura was my first progression to 'true' metal, and I'm thankful for it... Arise and Beneath are awesome albums... so is Chaos. I think this live thing is just for RoadRunner to milk more money out of Sepultura though.

I have to agree that the old Sepultura was nothing, it was just another thrash band, but the songs were (are) cool. They only tried to do something different in Chaos AD and this is a very good album in my opinion. In Roots, blergh! I'm not so much into this album, it's so indian...and the Derrick era? Pure shit...I can't stand them anymore and I can't understand why people still give so much attetion to them.

Their were many good shows here in the early 90's but the Sepultura with Fear Factory (when they first came out were the first metal bands seeing use of keyboard, and huge fans that were blowing thier hair back=uo) and Clutch(who end up coming out in tuxes exept the singer who was wearing speedo underwear sceaming low gutterals) what a strange start to Sepultura Kinda threw me off. I havent seen Sepultura in any recent shows. But I picked up -No Coracao dos Deuses- A soundtrack with Igor Cavalera and Andreas Kisser, which sounds pretty cool if you like tribal stuff. *never heard of though till recently.*

What are they?

Ya I think Chaos A.D. was the last one I had got for a long time. And after that it wasn't remaining the same, non the less in recent years Ive been picking thier newer stuff up to listen in their heavyness. The Chaos DVD will be cool to get for rememberance.

I still like everything up untill roots, still think everything is pretty cool. And a live DVD/album of that brixton gig? That'd be well cool, as I can then spend hours trying to find myself in the crowd ("Hi Mum!")

Was quite an eventfull gig, damn good as well :)
