Set Length changes confirmed

I like it in theory...to me personally, it's really hit or miss. For example, I would've taken another 15 minutes on Orphaned Land and Brainstorm, but I would be super pissed being deprived 15 extra minutes for Therion.

I was thinking exactly the same thing.....but, the new set-lengths give Glenn some added flexibility, and that's good for the fest.

The implication is that some bands may already be in the pipeline or confirmed. Go Glenn! :worship:  :worship:

Yeah, now that the Evil Darkness Tour has been 'postponed' for another year, Glenn doesn't have to compete with that juggernaut for bands.

If Epica comes in Progpower I think that I will fucking go so crazy and be so excited. Maybe I will be the first one in line but also I hope Dream Evil comes!! Why can't they just announce now!!

Epica rules!!

I think that's pretty fair, as the last band of each night is generally considered the most high profile band. It'll be cool to see the second slot bands getting some extra time as well, as there have been plenty of bands over the past years who deserved it.

Stay metal. Never rust.

As of now, both 4th slots will be cut from 90 mins to 75 mins this year. Both 2nd slots will be increased from 45 mins to 60 mins.

That is cool. I would hope that something can also be done about the long wait before the headliner appears.

That's an individual band thing and not the fault of me or my crew.

I am at the mercy of the headliner's crew as there are certain things I have no choice but to do if I want to book the band.

And to add to Glenn's comment, loong intervals between bands (or, 'bands starting late') are extremely unusual at ProgPower. Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone, but I think PP6 was the first time it has ever happened. (Bands ending late are another matter. :))

Late starters:

Angra (twice)
Rage
Stratovarius

There may have been a few other headliners start 10 minutes late, but the above are the ones that have taken up a very noticable amount of time.

I like the change but I wish it was done a year earlier. Would have loved to see Symphorce for 60 minutes but thinking I would have loved to see Therion for longer then 90. Anyway I like the change .
