Shadow Gallery and JOP to play PP EU

For any of the North American folks who are thinking about going, PPEu is extremely affordable, as international trips go. I flew into Düsseldorf, which is the closest city with a big international airport (less than an hour away by train), for $600 *after* taxes, and if you stay at the Kasteel de Berckt (the equivalent of the Artmore where most of the attendees and bands stay, except it's an actual castle), it ended up being about $270 for the ticket AND three nights accommodation.

What strikes me as weird is the phone conversation part. I have lots of dreams where I have conversations with people I'd like to meet but never have, but always face to face.

Although in this day and age, I'm sure someone will be along to talk about the dream they had that they were on an internet chatboard talking to Jimi Hendrix.

I cant tell u why it was a phone conversation, but it felt like it was real the whole time, like I was sitting in front of him. God if he ever reads this shit he is gonna think am a super weirdo, but seriously jon I just love your music on a unhealthly manner.

No worries Biffle...I will be sure to share your "dream" with him later this week....bwah-ha-ha!

I always look forward to your lineups because there's always a few bands I find out about that I wish I had known sooner. This year, I know most of the bands, but still a few to check out. For example, Love de Vice. An original sounding prog metal band. I'm not quite sure what they are doing, but there's almost an outlaw country tinge to some of the vocals, but then it usually goes into more traditional prog territory. Good stuff. http://www.myspace.com/lovedeviced

Totally agree with you on Love de Vice, another one of the awesome bands coming out of Poland. I would go just to see them and especially MYRATH, and Haken

That line-up is awesome. I live in Spain and I'm really considering to go... At least for Saturday.

Mike died. My guess. Others guess too

That's the most obvious change, but I doubt Mike was the obstacle to them touring. I had read before that it was mainly the difficulty involved in working out live versions of Shadow Gallery songs and the lack of financial incentive to tour. But I have to think Shadow Gallery is less in demand now than they were in their glory days of the late 90s.
