Shadows of the Sun

I'm not very into it, but have only listened a few times. I'm currently of the persuasion that Ulver peaked with A Quick Fix of Melancholy.

Blood Inside I never enjoyed, the only Ulver I can say that about, but I also recognize that it might be several years before I can fully wrap my head around that one anyhow. In 10 years I might find it brilliant.

EDIT (3 weeks later): this album is grand. It took driving home on a foggy night after a loud concert to realize the majesty therein. Yay. :)

I'd like to hear it, I recently received Blood Inside via MSN transfer and really like a few songs off it, namely For The Love of God and It Is Not Sound. How's Shadows of The Sun compared to Blood Inside?

ok this one sucked me in :) i especially like the part in all the love from the 2nd minute to the trumpet solo.

does anyone know of any other album that sounds like this?

I think it's a beautiful album, very intoxicating in a subtle sense.
As Rivfadir has said, I have yet to be disappointed.
My favourite songs on the album are:
The Black Sabbath cover - Solitude.
Let The Children Go
Funebre.

I didn't like it when it came out, but it has grown on me, and now I think it is in the top 3 (blood inside, perdition city, shadows of the sun)
