good idea, well it's tricky i don't know how they'd do it, a complete different song but incorporate some of the elements of that song, the great jamming guitars. I'd like to see them cover it and do a proper live version of my iron lung, radiohead don't do decent live versions of it anymore, yeah how about anathema cover my iron lung in the live shows Danny ?

you do have a point...theres a bit on the bends where jonny's ripping shit out his guitar, and john once said to me 'why dont you write riffs like that?'
of course there's a difference between copying and loving music,but i am guessing this guy knows it...

check out E minor and C then put an equally deep perspective with a half ok vocal.....

I think the song My iron lung has something special that most songs don't have, the intensity is amazing. There is something about it I can't explain but I never get tired of that song. It was recorded live from a gig in 1994 and the live version was used on the CD. I think bands have been influenced by lots of great music gone before them, that can't be helped.. if Anathema could recreate guitar work similar in 'some ways to parts of that song' I think they could do it just as good and maybe even better. Indeed just use songs like that as a base and build on it and make a better song
