Short clip of a song.help me mix it

i would like some help in going in the right direction with this mix.mixing clean guitars is really hard for me so some help would be good.but how is the overall mix sounding?and is everything gluing together well?

one thing i seem to struggle with is my guitars always sound detached from the mix.

You need to work on the EQ a bit - cut the mids.

By the way, this song has a "System of a Down" grove to it

The lows are completely out of control through my headphones

i could see what you were saying about the lows.i tried to fix them but i dont know if i did any good.so how does this sound?

I can't really figure out what's going on with the mix, boss. The lows are loud and out of control. What kind of speakers are you mixing with? Try turning down the bass guitar, a lot. Then post up a new clip, that's the only thing I can think of

i am mixing through headphones.i think i found out what the problem was.i am using an amp model in pod farm2 (the citrus model) and i had the bass on it turn all the way up,so i turned it all the way down and i think it sounds alot better.

Yup, that was the problem. Still too loud but WAAAYYYY better. At least now you know what the problem is
