I didn't hear the first one dude, but this still sounds pretty phasey to me :/ (and the right channel tone has a pretty distracting sorta scratchy fizz to it)

Ehhh, doesn't sound at all like Shovel Headed Kill Machine to me, phasey, fizz on the right, not enough mids. :/

i know why it's phasey, not really a big deal, just a test really, but the "fizziness" i was kind of going for. the guitars on shovel head and atrocity are a little fizzy really.

A lot better now, still I'd like a bit less mids on the left and a bit less fizz on right?

I don't really even know now, it's been a while since I listened to this album and the bass in it makes a huge difference in the overall tone.
