SHOW IN BARCELONA

Woops, no honestly I didn't intend to start a debate on spanish people complaining.
I was actually just refering to the thread Gazza mentioned, in which it was some other spanish person complaining ("fans that are angry with AA" or whatever) before getting bitch-slapped by some AA member on the forum (:D).
I never thought spaniards were "complainers". I actually felt ashamed for spanish people because it just happened that the complainers were both spanish.
I visited Spain twice for one month each and spanish people are really cool although the girls kind of play hard to get and thats annoying (as opposed to american girls :p)

I never took offence dear. My first thought was also ...fuuuuck! Not again! AmonAmarth are going to give up on Spain for good:ill:

And FYI, Spanish girls don't play hard to get. They just try to get around their day without being annoyed by annoying guys handing out rude remarks... Which is impossible in the summer. I honestly don't know what's wrong with them, see anything with a skirt on and off they go. And not even a skirt... many long haired metal guys have got their bottoms pinched by mistake. Six foot plus, long hair... well obviously a girl!

You do know the expression "she would not give me the time of day", right? Well, I do know people for whom asking the time is a perfectly valid chat up line  and if you do answer its obviously that you are asking for it, you watch wearing slut!

Ok, still in OT territory, but someone else started it and I love it too much.

People in Barcelona may object to you calling them Spanish on the first place, without using the third person. The original post suggests that this person is from around Valencia, but in Spain that's not splitting hairs, nationalism is a biiiig issue.

As for your friend, he/she could be mocking you in a slightly clumsy way. Spaniards lose all sense of what gets lost in translation after the third beer. (well so does everyone else, but Spanish are lightweight drinkers too)

And as someone who has purified her karma by working on the multilingual call centre lines, taking complaints from many countries in Europe (I know who I was, I was an EVIL man in a previous life) Taking complaints from a Spaniard is hard work. But the British style of complaining is by far the most annoying to my ears. Probaby because Spaniards complain out of habit and British mean it!

So... don't put everyone on the same box, because stereotypes are often wrong. But oh so tempting to use, and I milk them for all they are worth... I have already started using my married name when it suits me NOT to be Spanish. Which in this forum, it is becoming more and more common. Poor Sonia, poor me!

I'll try to remember not calling them Spaniards if I go to Barcelona :p
On the other hand, I just might, to see how they react :heh:

Oh my friend was making fun of it for sure, it was when I met him the next time he "complained" that I got him drunk, but it was all in good fun ;)
I was wasted out of my mind when I started pouring 3 parts vodka to 1 part OJ down his throat, never forced him though
Now, I hardly ever tough strong liqour, I'll get messed up on beers eventually as well!

However, of course stereotypes are always correct!
All Swedish women are 6" and blonde, with blue eyes and huge boobs.
Also the Swedish Bikini Team are well worth watching, when they practice just outside my work window.
:D

 I didn't take offence CM, hun! It's only that, apart from Spanish_Lass and me (we are the coolest ;)), the other Spanish people that commented here seem to be silly: or they register here only to say that are angry with AA because of this or that (and they disappear and don't comment here anymore), or because they didn't like the show because of the sound or the venue.... or they simply start threads that are already done because they didn't take the time to read the different threads or.... I wonder: are they real fans of AA? or they are just bored or...?

Damnit if I was born swedish I would have some height...
Wait, Anna is my height, smaller actually. So...not all stereotypes are correct.
But I am willing to bet you love your view ;) Don't know a man that wouldn't.

Should I start reading out of it? It's a hilarious book, written with a lot of humour, people were looking at me funny in the bus :)

No, seriously, this series is great. I recommend you pick one up before going to Spain. I give the one about the Spaniards to my pupils whenever I don't know what to do with them. It always causes a laugh and a few nods of "yes, that's true"

Ok, the thread 'Amon Amarth in Spain' is closed (?), so I'll share here with all of you the photos I took in the concert.... I took the photos with my mobile phone so the quality of the pictures is not very good. Here you have!

What the hell? Are you talking seriously? I went to that concert, I was in first line and it was AWESOME...

I can't believe you said that, do you really like AA? I mean, a real fan should apreciate an awesome concert like that...

hi! i respect all opinions but i don't say that they made a bad concert, this could be impossible. my angry humor was about the place, 'couse i see them before and i know what i mean. of course little place make a good atmosphere, but this one loose this shine when some "energúmenos" go to the concert for insult them, a hard insults that i, of course, don't write.i hear them 'couse they were in front of me. so, sorry if my feeling don't like to anyone, but like a big fan of them, it's what i feel in this moment. of course, this didn't mean that i don't go to see them again if they retourn, i'm not so crazy. but, i repeat, sorry if my write english isn't write. may be i don't expressed with the addecuate words my feelings. thank you, anyway,
