so we have the eventual 2005 record of the year thread ...

we need a "show of the year" thread ... been to quite a few, but hands down, the OBITUARY show at BB KING's was a total standout. The sound was incredibly clear and brutal, the band was in prime form, looking like they were having more fun then in their prime (saw them in their prime) ... just fucking total kickass metal.

dissapointment of the year had to be the Slough Feg show ...

Primordial, Mourning Beloveth and Scald in Dublin, Ireland

i didn't see too many this year, so this was a no-brainer :kickass:

runner up: Agalloch at Day of the Equinox

Three Sheets to the Wind! :loco:

i didn't go to very many shows this year, but saw some good local acts whose names i don't know/remember. best was Sunn O))), Boris, and Thrones (missed Nachytystmastmsiam).

All other bands are nothing

We get bugger all shows over here. The highlight for me was Nile they owned live and Rev. Kriss Hades at Bloodlust absolutly amazing!

Edit: Next year will be pretty killer over here, Opeth, Behemoth(not that im going), possibly Mayhem, Meshuggah. Their is a few more in the pipeline also, plus the many mini festivals poping up should be a good year.

saw some reurn from the summer of the Conan O'Brian show this week ... Max Weinberg, the drummer of the house band (and some famous drummer according to some here) was talking how he went with his son to Ozzfest and how much he enjoyed Mastodon and Lamb of God ... :loco:

the best thing Max Weinberg ever did was Max on Max. if you saw it, you know exactly what i'm talking about.
