1015 Folsom, packed with over about thousand Shpongloids. Complete madness!
I'm sorry to say though, I didn't stay for the Shpongle itself.
It was basically a night of Simon Posford and his gang rocking out in all different sorts of environments. From the entire band of Younger Brother, to YB's Prometheus in a solo set, to other guys coming in and out of an ongoing set, and then a Shpongle DJ mix, the whole night was a metamorphasizing melee of music. Since Shpongle is generally downtempo chill stuff, they, aparently, weren't even going on until 4 in the morning, and I just couldn't hang. But thats ok--late night Indian food is dope, too.
Younger Brother was good, but I was most blown away by Prometheus' DJ set. Even though it was the most minimal of the night, it was hard hitting, polyrhythmic, and intense--just how I like my women!
Amazing night. Though most of the details aren't fit for message boards
