Couple of questions for you all.

1. Is there a "Street Team" set up for Enchant?
2. Is there any promo cd's available to distribute to friends without fear of repercussions from RIAA/Recording Company legal department?

1. No, I don't think so - not officially anyway -- ALTHOUGH there should be one !! Sign me up!! I even have Street Team references!

2. Not that I know of - I think the guys would have to answer that one unless someone from IOA stops by!

Cheers!

What is a Street Team? English is a second language and I have a feeling Street Team is even something American...

By the way, mgirishfan, I noticed you were listening to a lot of Traffic albums. What's the order in which I should check their albums out? I love the progressive blues stuff a lot - Hendrix, Mountain, Led Zeppelin, Spirit, early Deep Purple, Nektar...

Thanks,
Jerry

Hi Jerry!

The term 'Street Team' may have originated in America but its concept is universal!!!

Steet Teams are fans who do whatever they can to help promote the band. Efforts can be online and in person.

Online activites include a lot of stuff a lot of people here on the this board already do -- contacting Internet sites, Internet radio stations, emailing people/friends/other musicians/radio stations/colleges/anyone who will listen! to promote the band, leave posts online about the band at different sites, reporting back to the band with reivews found, notes, etc. All of this is to promote and support the band!

In person it is usually more specific - distributing flyers, contacting local media/music press, hanging posters, talking to venues, etc - usually to support a particular upcoming gig.

As for Traffic - well I only have that one album - I was listening to it yesterday -The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys. They have all been remastered now and sound great! I'm not an enormous Traffic fan, per se, but this music is classic....next up will be their real debut Traffic and then maybe Dr. Fantasy or When the Eagle Flies. You might want to just start with Feelin Alright - The Very Best of Traffic - and then go from there to the albums based on the songs you like best on the 'best of'.

Cheers!

The first thing an Enchant Street Team should do is to raise up enough money to buy Clear Channel and fire the entire outfit.

Then start ordering radio stations to get orignial and play good music!

Ah, I see. Thanks for the explanation!

Hm, Street Team equals Anoraks? I think of Street Teams as enthusiastic fans. Anoraks are more trainspotters. Nothing wrong with that - am one myself! ;)
