Simple Melodic Song

So i have these old tracks that I never finished mixing. This is the simplest song so i started here and while it doesn't sound bad to me it doesnt really sound great either.

Im not sure exactly where my problem(s) are hoping you guys could lend your ears.

Programmed drums with SD2
DI Bass
DI Guitar (though i only had gearbox at the time so cant mess with tone)

cut around 4khz on guitar. cymbals are too loud. drums sound lifeless.

Worked on drum velocities, ambient mic and reverbs. Adjusted the rest slightly to balance with the drum changes.
