Single pickup

I'm not guitarist, but can you tell me why is Alexi using only 1 pickup ?

maybe because he doesnt need more? single coils are for clean tone (never heard in COB) and neck pickup sucks in metal.

And about having only one pickup He likes the tone he have, he doesnt need more diverse cuz he knows what he wants Thats the only logic solution
