Skid Row

I saw SKID ROW back when they openned for VAN HALEN with Bach. Great show!! Bach has such a rare and powerful voice and he does have a way with words. The band as a whole just plain rocks. I saw the band twice when they openned for KISS on their reunion tour. Not the same without Bach. I dont know who was singing for them at the time but it just didnt sound like SKID ROW. The band as a whole sounded great since most of the members were still there but without Bach........... no thanks. Just not the same to me.

I cant wait, I am off to see Skid Row tonight, VERY small venue, so should be a close intimate gig.

I know they are not the same as they were with Seb bach, but you know a guys gotta do what a guys gotta do.

I have not seen the band since the slave to the grind tour in 1991, that was at Birminghams NEC.
I got my tickets on tuesday and they are numbered 64, 65 and 66!!!!

Don't laugh but Skid Row is playing out near here next month with Jetboy,LA guns and fucking Bang Tango!

Why the fuck is Bang Tango still around???

lol its funny. I hang out at the Rainbow in Hollywood a lot and it's like the glam rock scene never died there. I do enjoy listening to some old 80's hair metal from time to time, it's fun i guess. But bands like Skid Row and Warrant that contiue to put out records with different singers is rediculous. I guess they still make a few bucks from touring which is probably better than anything else so that is why they keep on going. Journey played with Def Leppard with some new singer and it was just retarded.

These guys in these bands are now well into their 40's and are all fat and out of shape and still squeeze into their spandex and have hair extentions lol.

I saw Quiet Riot at the Galaxy a while back (before K.Debrow passed away) and it was really sad. There honestly was MAYBE 50 people in that place watching them play. All the table areas were empty and just a handful of people standing on the floor

Poison played at Irvine Meadows in the summer with Ratt and that place was a ghost town. They barely filled up the Orchestra section and that was when Brett Michaels TV show was at its peak in popularity. It was a fun show to check out all the washed up drunken 80's chicks though hah !

But dude I would go see L.A. Guns they have always been a pretty good band with good musicians.

The thing is, Skid Row as a band and as makers of new albums, sound little like Old skid row.

The live show was all the old stuff, but when playing a small club tour in Europe, they were aware that that is what the fans wanted.

And I can assure you, there is little glam about Skid row these days......well Scotti hill still wears eye makeup but thats about it. I also think I saw them at the smallest venue on their tour, and it was packed out, with an unbelievable atmosphere.
