I'm full of questions this week 
Anyone (Steven I'm looking in your direction) have an opinion on which SSD samp sounds closest (with whatever tweaking necessary) to match up with the snare on the newest Lamb of God record?
I'm recording a band who cited them as a reference, and the drummer had an old poppy thin piccolo snare which definitely does not help their sound.
I'm diving into completely reconstructing his performance and wondered if anyone had an opinion as to which sample I should use.
I monitor in a pretty large control room with 8"JBLs over my desk, and to be honest, I think my room really negatively colors what I hear back in here even though these are the "tuned" reference monitors they offer...
