just recording this cool Irish Band.
they want the drums to have a Pantera-kinda vibe, so I mic'd the kickdrum slightly differently from my usual approach, with some editing, compression EQ it should be possible to get some cool clicky but powerful kickdrums.

I'm not gonna do it for you though, you gotta do it yourselves...

no post processing, that's entirely your job!

Mics were D6 and 421 through safe sound audio and focusrite pres.
Kcikdrum was 22" Yamaha Recording custom, pinstripe head (unfortunately)...although...turns out that head is actually cool for these types of sound
