Smile Empty Soul Announce More Tour Dates
With Burn Halo (Ex-Eighteen Visions) & The Last Vegas

Smile Empty Soul have announced more headlining tour dates for their run with Burn Halo (ex-Eighteen Visions) and The Last Vegas. The tour is now scheduled to run through February 6th, 2010 in Ft Wayne, IN. Smile Empty Soul frontman offered the following update from the road:

"This last week has been great! We had a day off at home, which was awesome because I was able to go see my Doctor who told me I can start to put weight down on my leg soon. From there we started back up at the Whiskey in Hollywood, where Jake and I got tattooed by our tour manager Brian's friend, Slim, in the bus in front of the venue. We did a show in Fullerton and then headed out to play the Jingle Bell Ball in Santa Rosa, CA. The show was great and it’s always a pleasure hanging out with the people at the 'FOX' rock station out there. Next we headed to Las Vegas to play Holiday Havok with Dead by Sunrise and Alice in Chains. Our set was only half an hour so I stood on one leg the whole show and said 'screw the stool', which was exciting cause it means that I'm on my way to standing at all shows, and even walking again. I can't wait!! That show was a blast and the other bands we're amazing! Now we're up north in Washington and we've been driving through tons of crazy snow storms. We don't get up to the northwest too often so it’s nice to be here, hope to see you all at the shows."

Smile Empty Soul is currently touring in support of their recently released new album, “Consciousness”, which was released through F.O.F Label Group/EMI. The album was recorded in Los Angeles, CA by producer by Eddie Wohl (Anthrax, Ill Nino) and mixed by Jay Baumgardner (Three Days Grace, Godsmack, Papa Roach).

Smile Empty Soul re-released their long lost sophomore album, "Anxiety", digitally only through ITunes and other digital retailers on November 10th. Anxiety's 17 tracks were originally recorded in 2005 as the follow-up to the group's gold certified 2003 self-titled debut. The album is currently on sale though iTunes for $9.99 at http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/anxiety/id338004197

More anxiety was pretty good but their other album that came out the same year, consciousness, was better. underrated band

I rather liked this band back in the day. I forgot about them until just now. Kinda weird to find them mentioned on Ultimate Metal, I must admit. I guess they count as alternative metal. It's like taking Nirvana and making it metal or something lol
