As you might have read, Steve Smyth and Testament have parted ways.... I must say i'm really REALLY hoping that testament are considering to get James back in the band (and that James is interested). That would be the best thing that could happen right now IMHO!!!

I think it is very cool that Steve is joining Nevermore fulltime. But when you think of Nevermore and good guitar playing...you think of Jeff Loomis. It may not be the best for him to sort of live in Jeff Loomis' shadow, but oh well. I'm sure Testament will find another amazing lead player. Honestly, I'd rather have James work on the new Disincarnate record following the Death Tribute than join Testament again. Anything James does is excellent anyways so whatever decisions he makes in the future are for the best.

Yeah, I this is a great thing for Nevermore, but a bad thing for Smyth. I don't see Jeff sharing the spotlight anytime soon. I also think that it would be bad for James to take that spot in Testament. I would rather hear what he does on his own.
