Most of the time ITB with SSL Duende CS and an 1176 on parallel. I will occasionally go OTB and use my JDK R22 if it's not being used elsewhere.

TBH all of them work pretty well if you dial in the settings right. But I usually use SSL channel stereo (I prefer duende ssl over waves, but both work fine) or Waves 2550. Sometimes I'll use CLA76.

But I usually use SSL channel (I prefer duende ssl over waves, but both work fine) or Waves 2550. Sometimes I'll use CLA76. Usually my attack is at about 30ms, 4:1 ratio, release (depends), actually, threshold, attack, release all depend on the source and what type of music is being mixed.

The Glue all day for me too! Probably my most used compressor. Other than that I use a few Voxengo comps.

I am using SSL Duende Strip (love that EQ), Massey CT 4 (fast-fast) or Liquid Mix Distressor Emu in the box. Lots of the snare sound is coming from the Room Mics, Parallel Compression and the 2 Bus compression though where I pretty much only use hardware compressors. So I am not as heavy handed with compression on the individual snare track. It compresses pretty much in different stages and getting the compression balance right is key to a good sound.

MHCS still for me. plenty of different modes to get what i want quickly. something 1176-esque can be cool to bring the ring up and to adjust the tone with.
