Sneap Interview@Time+Space

Haha.. maybe now that Andy mentioned guitar matching with Ozone, I won't have to answer whether it works or not. :D

He also sai that the Kemoer is basically 1 to 1 and you disagree :p

Hey let's not go into this. I said it's not 100% and so did Andy. "How close?" depends on how much of a perfectionist you are and I tend to be pain in the ass for some people in that sense. :)

Dude, this thread isn't about you.;)

Besides, I don't think anyone ever said Matching eq's don't work. They're are just tools and won't make a turd sound gold although they can help a lot.
It isn't even a novelty, I remember using steinberg freefilter in the late 90's.

I'm not surprised Andy uses IRCIII. It's just the best algorithm out there.

Didn't mean to make it about me. Let's stop. :)

I also always master with the Ozone 5 Loudness Maximizer. It just always works. :)

i was just reading this the other day
and i thought to post it..
thanks Burny
IRC III is one hell of a Maximizer
never knew it sucks so much Cpu usage..
I use the ozone 5 Advance too its a great Mastering tool
and the best part is all the section are divided into diffrent vsts

Now, about the interview:

Tell us about the key pieces of gear that you’ve got in there.
Well that’s kind of hard to pin down, I’ve worked all over the world and done great recordings on basic gear so I don’t get too obsessed about equipment, saying that, I have soooo much gear now. I’m not one of these guys who “has” to use this and that. I think mix wise, the Genelec 1031′s are great and certain plug ins I can’t do without like metric halos channel strip. The SSL AWS900 has been a lot of fun since I got it a year or so ago. I think a 5150 amp and Tubescreamer are 2 of the most important pieces.

Wiser words couldn't be said.
