SNOWPOCALYPSE

mostly just fog and a back n forth between freezing rain and just plain rain ...

of course the fog makes the 10' high snow banks & piles a little harder to see but at least its a nice buffer when your car skids out of control :)

Supposedly getting more today and tonight though and also saturday so we'll see what happens

Just got in from shoveling in NY. We only got a few inches of snow but the ice is piled high. Some of the heaviest slush I've ever tried to toss. Gonna be feeling that tomorrow.

I got buried (I'm in Tulsa with Ryan) by at least 4 feet. We had a rescue mission for my bro's stupid/crazy/bitchy/alcoholic mother and spent two hours digging and pushing just to get out of the driveway. We finally get out today and spend most of it helping stupid motorists in their ford focuses trying to get to quiktrip for coffee. You'd think people in Oklahoma would be smarter than this about our winter storms.

Oh and btw, Snowpocalypse is a much better album name than Blizzardfest.

Here in the north eastern corner of Connecticut up on my hill at 700+ feet above sea level I have a 42 inch base of snow on the ground right now and we just got about a 2 inch ice cap on top of it from the sleet and freezing rain yesterday and the day before - it sucks! My snow blower died last week, but fortunately the guy that repairs it for me got it running in less than a day but it cost me $150 bucks - but ultimately that snow blower is the best purchase ever :) My two little dogs now have a pen in the back yard they can run around in unleased that we carved with the snow blower - the walls are about 4 1/2 feet high with a walkway leading to the back sliding doors of my dinning room - they just look up at them like these giant cliffs of snow.

Every night now there are stories of several roof collapses on the news - fortunately mine seems ok.

I've had enough - it's time for spring!

In Syracuse NY we were supposed to get like 18" originally but they changed the forecast and we didnt even get half of that but we did get sleet/ice and yesterday I had my power go out like 5 times

shit around here wasn't too bad...not near as bad as the media and all these dipshit rednecks hyped it to be

ended up with some ice, with sleet on top of it, more ice on that, and then a couple inches of snow. sounds bad, but really not

only part that sucks is that i always go in and out my back door, and the overhang for the roof extends out about a foot...so when the ice on the roof starting melting, it all collected in front of the door and made a sheet of ice about 4" thick which i just spent a decent amount of time chipping away at
