I love NiN, Static X, Rob Zombie, and a few others. But MOST industrial metal is just Assembly line Horse shit.

Static-X is a phenomonal band, wayne is my idol, and his hair/beard makes me green with envy as well

Static X is a good band musically, but they must be the only band in the world who went from singing about scat, suicide and drug addiction to having to be tied down due to lack of bathroom facilities on the tour bus.

Skinny Puppy - the most people appreciate Too Dark Park and The Process. I personally prefer The Greater Wrong of The Right, but you won´t do a mistake with any of them.
Throbbing Gristle - 20 Jazz funk greats...if you want roots of industrial music check out The First Annual Report and The Second Annual Report .

Industrial rock is average and kind of brings the genre down... however some of the Industrial Metal(note I do not consider Ministry or NIN to have anything to do with Metal as that part of the aesthetic is usually severely lacking) acts that actually expand the genre are
