It kinda sucks being one of the only metal drummers in the area, I've played in probably a dozen bands aside from my main one in the past 3-4 years. Alot of them were fun, but I've been playing bass for about 6 years and I'd like to actually enjoy a performance out in front of the kit some.

Yea were hopefully organizing some shows next year at Jaxx with a few local bands (Burning Shadows, Engage). And I might be going to the University of Maryland next fall so I will be closer to our little metropolis. I live in Amish land right now and its a tad far from everything anyway.

I dunno, theres been about 5485645760 times in my life where ive begun talks with people about starting a band and then nothing comes of it. But this times for real, ill probably be jammin with these people sometime this week. And to my knowledge we'll be the only doom metal band from RIDead_Lioness said:

Will- we're always looking for metal bands to play with. Down here we always get stuck with punk and emo bands on the same bill, and usually the majority of the concert goers are obnoxious 14 year old sk8tr kids. And hell we'd probably drive up there to play a show too, we need to start promoting ourselves more, we've been pretty lazy thus far.

i totally know what you mean about the 14 year olds, emo people, etc... we'd totally be up for the drive to Virginia to play a gig. he'll, we might even grab a show or 2 on the way down and back up. there aren't any places around here to play shows anymore. every firehall and VFW in a 30 mile radius banned concerts and stuff. my band actually got a show on January 7th. our last show was in July... cant find ANyWHERE to playEn Vind Av Sorg said:
