So how was the CIIC show last night in Marietta?

It was pretty cool. Mitch had problems with his amp right after the first song... Other than that it was a pretty cool show. A LOT of songs from the new album, a couple from Delusions, 1 from Burden of Truth... And some Savatage at the end (Taunting Cobras, Conversation Piece and Edge of Thorns).

I wonder why they ignore Watching In Silence so much? That's their best imo.

They probably also are ignoring the old stuff for the reasons that it's less downtuned (harder for Zak to sing), and there's a lot more keyboards and involved guitar work, which are harder to pull off with the current lineup.

I wonder the same exact thing. I love the material on Watching in Silence and Burden of Truth. Delusions is not a bad album, while I really only like 1-2 songs in the Middle of Nowhere disc.

Caffery and Oliva wrote all the songs on WiS as opposed to Mitch and Zak having written the songs off the last 3. I wonder if that's the reason. Plus nobody in the band played on the first album. Just a guess...

If your theory is correct then it goes to show how much Oliva and Stevens need to be together.

There's no question that the WIS lineup was light years ahead of the current CIIC lineup.

WiS is their best by far IMO.

I agree.

Burden of Truth is good, but I think it's a little overrated by us fans though. With that said, I've enjoyed every CIIC release. It would be cool to see both Jon and Zak collaborate either on a JOP or CIIC release again.
