So, I've got a nice journey forming...

Norway is expensive because its economy is still outside of the EU. A pint of beer can be upwards of £4, that's like $7US. That said, I love the place. I have a buddy in Oslo, and the country is very majestic, cold and wonderful.

Sweden is pretty kick ass, too. Both Sweden and Norway own Finland, in my opinion. Sweden is fairly priced, and the hostel I stayed in was around $40 for two nights. Plus, and this is a complete truism, the chicks ARE much hotter in Sweden. But prepare to be shocked because 80% of the country are fashionable posuers. The other 20% could not be any nicer/awesome(r) or kickass.

Have you been to many places in both lands? Any absolute favorite spots?

I'm hoping that we can get through both Germany and Denmark in less than a week. I want most of the time to be spent in Norway.

I spent my entire time in Oslo. It's wonderful there, although I'd like to travel around Norway a bit more for sure. However, just based on my time there I'd recommend the place to anyone. Just brace oneself for how many foreign people inhabit Oslo, it's bizarre, and save up for the beers!

Sweden-wise, I've visited Stockholm but I have no defining memories of it. Gothenburg was completely awesome, lots of hot chicks, great places to eat, comfortable hostel, the transport around the various parts of the city is STUNNING, and if you buy a City-pass you have two days of unlimited bus/tram travel for £20 or thereabouts.

I spent time with a Polish friend cutting trees in Uppsala too and I loved my time there.

Travelling is deeply personal, you've got to spend time where you mind/heart wants to be, I'd just recommend it wasn't in Finland.

Sorry for not reading this, it's been hectic getting the semester finally finished. Now I'm on break for 2 months! And within this break comes this grim trip. :)
