I love this band, although they tend to be spotty. But christ, when they're good... Anyway, I'll be buying this the day of release, but couldn't resist a preview. I think fans will be incredibly pleased. More discussion if it turns out someone gives a shit.

Killing Joke's sound has changed a lot during their 25 years, ranging from post-punk tribalism, to dark synth pop/rock, to the quasi-industrial stuff they have been doing since Extremities (which preceded Pandemonium). Not all these iterations have worked equally well, but there's no denying they are a great and influential band.

Of course, the KJ song you all know the best it "The Wait", as covered by Metallica. I got into the band when Metallica released Garage Days. Same with Misfits. You also might remember "Eighties" (We're living in the 80's?). But then again, maybe not.

I'll post a couple mp3's from their earlier material tomorrow night. Getting ready to see King Kong in a bit, which will consume tonight.
