...On August 9th, and Division just happens to be opening. We played with these guys a few years back, and they were excellent, and very cool, as well. For anyone that hasn't seen this incarnation, Ronnie Munroe does a good job of handling both David Wayne and Mike Howe material, and the newer stuff is pretty good, too. They're not doing a full club tour, just some hi-profile shows here and there, at a few East Coast venues. (OK, so I guess now that I see the full tour dates, it's not a one-off. Damn our inability to edit thread titles!)

We'll be doing some new songs, some old songs, one old song you haven't heard in a while, and a new cover tune. I'd tell you what it is, but we haven't decided yet!

As is usual in our shameless plugs, I'm pimping tickets - $17 in advance, and it's 21 and over, unless, of course, your parents bring you - which had some hilarious results last time. So what do you have to do that Saturday that's better than catching some serious old-school metal?

Congrats Mike! I have a friend who plans to attend this show. He just moved into a new home about a week ago within a short driving distance of Jaxx and he's stoked! He used to live in Jacksonville, FL where there were rarely if ever any decent national metal shows. And before that he lived in Panama City Beach, where Metal does not exist - period. :erk:

Anyway, I know the Metal Church/Division show stands to be a great one! Wish I could be there! :headbang:

I'll finally have the opportunity to see them live. alongside Queensryche, on their August show here in Puerto Rico. I've been a Metal Church fan since Wayne's days. "A Light In The Dark" definately was a solid album for me, so I'm just excited of having the opportunity to see them live. "Munroe's version of We Watch The Children Pray" excellent.:headbang:

I wish you could be here, too, so we could have a long overdue chat...

If your friend is going, and he hasn't bought tickets yet - well, you know how Jaxx works. ;)
