Oh shit yeah that does look awesome!
I saw Coraline the other day (even though Tim Burton didnt directed it he had something to do with production and distribution, although his name isnt in the credits)
and it was awesome! it was directed by the Nightmare before Christmas guy...

Also, I figured I'd put this out there: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=964QHmjLqa0]The original piece to inspire the movie[/ame]

I haven't seen the full thing but I will. Duty calls!

Common misconception, Burton didn't come near it, Selick both wrote the screenplay and directed it though, yes.

It was also produced by Selick and a couple of others... but Burton isn't named anywhere.

oddly enough in the Coraline trailers, his name was on it and on the teaser posters...i guess they thought they could milk his cash cow..
regardless the movie was really good...

Selick is probably displeased with that... he does most of the work on those films and no one remembers who he is. He does one WITHOUT Burton and try they to apply his name anyway.

I'm hearing it by itself, and it sounded better in their soundtrack. Not endearing me to them, nope. Still don't care for them much.

In the trailer they get rid of the broken guitar sound and add orchestra. I want THAT version.

I dunno I really think C&C are an epic band, once you get over his voice. And that curly haired spic really goes all the fuck out live. He does sick guitar tricks that put Slash to shame. And their show was the most brutal show I have ever attended, it was so insane the crowd was nuts, it was so violent and chaotic that I actually left the gate because I was scared for my own safety. People were trampling people pretty much. But meh.

I like Burton's work the most when the flicks don't suffocate under his visual self-fellatio. And I heavily dislike any variation of musicals*/revues... Other than that, he did some great stuff and this looks promising, too.

* except for Cannibal! The Musical, of course. That one is spadoinkle!
