at least from the touring circuit. i would've gone but i was too busy rocking and getting chicks.

on the plus side, black aria II is close to release and he's directing a movie. so as long as he still remains active in the dark arts, i'm cool with it.

glad i got to see him live several times.

HERRR BLACK WINGSGASGASGA

I wish I could listen to that now. While we were driving up to UVM on Friday, my mom was totally cool with listening to Sabbath, Colour Haze, Danzig, and all sorts of shiz like that. Good times...

damn, they played brand new god and bringer of death. also a bunch of misfits songs with doyle. yeah, i would've really liked to have seen that show. oh well!

he's been talking about this retirement for quite a while now, but in one interview i read a month or so ago, he did mention something along the lines of the tour retirement not necessarily being permanent

but even if he did only retire from touring for like, 5 years, he'd be 93 years old when he went to tour again

UVM rules- how would you like this as a view every time you walked around campus?

hahaha here i was thinking alfred packer was some photographer i'd never heard of.

In the Colorado Rockies
Where the snow is deep and cold
And a man afoot can starve to death
Unless he's brave and bold

Oh Alfred Packer
You'll surely go to hell
While all the others starved to death
You dined a bit too well

---from The Ballad of Alfred Packer

let's build a snowman
we can make him our best friend
we can name him bob or we can name him beowulf
we can make him tall, or we can make him not so tall

snowman!!

"I came home with my meat. I had the front of his body I liked best. His monkey and pee wees and a nice little fat behind to roast in the oven and eat. I made a stew out of his ears -- nose -- pieces of his face and belly. I put onions, carrots, turnips, celery, salt and pepper. It was good.

"Then I split the cheeks of his behind open, cut off his monkey and pee wees and washed them first. I put strips of bacon on each cheek of his behind and put them in the oven. Then I picked 4 onions and when the meat had roasted about 1/4 hour, I poured about a pint of water over it for gravy and put in the onions. At frequent intervals I basted his behind with a wooden spoon. So the meat would be nice and juicy.

"In about 2 hours, it was nice and brown, cooked through. I never ate any roast turkey that tasted half as good as his sweet fat little behind did. I ate every bit of the meat in about four days. His little monkey was a sweet as a nut, but his pee-wees I could not chew. Threw them in the toilet."
