I was there. Seems Linda's usual tech for the Valley Dolls couldn't make it so she asked me to fill in. Normally, I can't be dragged out to the Valley on a great day. I really don't like making trips to Los Angeles but, she asked me nicely. (It's not "L.A." anymore...it's "HELL-Lay".) And, only a minimal amount of tapping this time...anyways.
I was speeding up the Interstate 405 at 85+ miles an hour, blasting Emperor the whole way. Then, I got to watch the girls perform a set of 1980's Glam! (People would always wonder why my friends always did so many drugs in the 1980's. It was to get over the bad music!

)
The band performed excellently and put on a hell of a show. Everyone performed excellently though they had a rough ride with the bass rig. (It was the house bass gear that someone has abused to hell. It sounds like crap, it's completely underpowered for Paladinos and should be replaced.) Seeing George Lynch performing with the band during "In My Dreams" was a bonus.
It was quite a laugh watching Priscilla and Angela (guitar and bass, respectively) doing the Bon Jovi "Strut" during "You Give Love A Bad Name." It took everything I had to keep standing up since I was laughing so hard. Also, Alicia (quite the singer and one time Maidens' trooper girl. I hope I'm spelling everyone's names properly, by the way. I'm not the best at names) was quite resplendent in her white tiger stripe ensemble with red leg warmers. I felt like I was back in high school.
I still think the band could change their name to "The Ah's." Linda, Alicia, Angela, Priscilla...get it?

Ah, fuck you.
They were followed up by Danger Kitty...Ahem...excuse me, I mean Metal Shop.

(Actually, for those in the know, Danger Kitty was played by Metal Shop.) They're always good for a laugh, though they spent most of their stage time talking instead of actually playing. Seeing Billy Sheehan playing "Hot For Teacher" and "Running With The Devil" was interesting, especially with Billy playing the bass down around his knees. I'll say this much about Metal Shop though, you've got to see them during the breakdown section of the Scorpions' "Rock You Like A Hurricane." That alone will be worth the price of your admission.
Got there too late to see Mistresses of Reality who did or did not play, depending on who you were asking at the club. Their set list was in my pocket when I left, so I guess they did...or did they?

Also got there during Lemmy's Wart's set, so I can't tell you how they did since I was busy setting up drums outside. Didn't see Sick Trigger either since I couldn't be bothered to after the fiasco at 14 Below.
Ran into several friends at the gig and got to drive home at 2 am though I didn't get home until close to 4 am thanks to the Highway Patrol having the I-405 shut down in two spots since the idiots can't remember how to drive when they're drunk!
