Sod weights, lets play Marduk

...is what my friend Rich said, after turning his hand into a blur by playing along with "Panzer Division Marduk". He played 20 seconds of "Panzer Division...", "Baptism by Fire", and "502" (I think).
Basically he completely knackered his arm and yelped in pain as soon as he'd played each one full speed along with the CD player.

I have so much trouble playing with my wrist, have any tips to help with that? When I play with Emperor my arm gets really sore after about 5-6 songs because im using my elbow as the joint...

yeah, but you have to be patient. naturally your arm will be a lot faster (although less accurate and more fatiguing). All I can recommend is playing up and down the fretboard on one string slowly, picking from the wrist, with a metronome. Gradually bring the speed up, making sure the picking's accurate and you're relaxed.

Some people just say fuck it and play with their arm so much that they can withstand playing for long periods from the elbow, but I wouldnt recommend that
