Software amp simulator

Damn that is sick! I love this material, and the tone is brutal! Tell us what you used! Best software amp sim tone I've ever heard!

What band/project is this? I want to by the album when it's done, this is the sickest riffing I've heard since "The Audio Injected Soul."

 :kickass:

Dandelium: yep, it's Amplitube 2 :) With an overdrive stomp and a real tubescreamer (non-software). I was a little amazed to be able to get this kind of sound with it.. not extremely good, but way over my expectations.

The_Shred: I have the same problem... I actually record the tracks and use the plugin afterwards on the files.. only way for me to get it to work hah. Sucks playing with only the wee bit of dostortion from the TS9, but it's the only way for me until I get a better soundcard :)

It does have that characteristic thin-ness yes, but you can solve some of it with some eq:ing. Don't think it'll ever be the same type of heavyness as from a real amp, but it's still pretty alright imo.

Ahhh sweet! How do you actually use Amplitude AFTER recording? This is the first ive heard! I might have to use the same technique, if I understand it lol!

Well, I just record the tracks, and process the files afterwards...
Playing "metal-riffs" undistorted sucks... but hey, it works.
I use Cubase SX. So using the plugin on the channel is not possible for me, i have to process the files.

Kazrog: hehe, it´s not really a project.. I just came up with some riffs quickly to try out Amplitube 2 :)

I've been trying out Amplitube 2 over here and I've got to say it is the best amp simulation I've used. I'll have to post some results I've been getting with Amplitube 2 and EZDrummer. I love how stupidly easy this software makes it to get great sounds.
