it was a front page interview with jonas, in which he answerd many so-far-unaswered questions..
probably the deepest and most sincere interview he ever gave.
anyway, he explained couple of song's lyrics from TGCD, and soil's song was one of those..
one more cool thing he mentioned there: if you remember, there were rumours about "slo train co." project with him and mikael from opeth.. it was just for fun, but one of the songs jonas and mikael wrote got on opeth 7'' Still Day Beneath the Sun.. he didn't say which one: Still Day Beneath the Sun or Patterns in the Ivy II.. you guess.. but he wasn't signed as author.. he just said (almost shy) "..oh, it's nothing.."
A song about suicide bombers? I would have to see the interview, but I somehow doubt that. Although suicide bombers and Islamofascism have been front-page news alot recently, who knows.
Of course all lyrics are subject to multiple interpretations and a particular image or description can symbolize many other meanings that stand behind it...
