Soilwork's New Album

I've seen people from this forum post on their forum before, but I'd rather not post my opinion there because that forum is starting to get out of hand. What are your thoughts on their new album? I've downloaded about 5 songs, and I'm really really disappointed. I didn't really like NBC all that much, and was hoping FNF would be a lot better. The keyboard parts just aren't interesting at all and the riffs are so uninspired. The riffs just don't drive the music like they once did. I definitely won't buy this album. What are your opinions?

I liked NBC, it wasn't anything groundbreaking, but it's enjoyable.

With the exception of the title track and Brickwalker, the songs on FN5 sound like bad leftovers from the NBC sessions. I'm very disappointed.

I haven't heard anything from FNF yet, but I'm really looking forward to it. I've heard, and expect that it is like NBC. Some of you may think that's a bad thing, but it sounds great to me. I really like NBC, its just fun to listen to. It's so fast and loud and doesn't require me to think about it. I've only listened to NBC so I can talk about their previous CDs. I'm sorry to hear that Soilwork has gone downhill. Lots of bands start out strong, and can't finish. *cough!* Dream Theater *cough!*

I dont expect anything from soilwork nowadays, NBC was truly booring ... my fav was APP ... and i cant believe i'm gonna see them for the 3rd time (show with cob)... i'm sick of them

I love it. I think it ripps and has some great guitar work and vocal melodies, great album!!I think of it as NBC part II and NBC was one of my favorite cd's from last year so.

Thats a trip becuase its the exact same way I feel about In Flames, to each I guess.

I've heard 3 songs and the only one that stood out was Overload, mainly for the sweet ass chorus. I'm a total sucker for those layered vocal choruses.

I'm really disappointed, the only song that stood out was the title track. I don't really know if i'm going to buy it though.

I agree with bear on this one as well. NBC got a lot of rotation in my CD player (and still does), so an NBC II is a win/win situation for me . Now if only in flames could release TJR II.....

I've only heard it once, and while it wasn't as consistent as NBC, it was still solid for the most part, and heavier in places...
