Soldano Hot Rod - Will I like it ?

So, need your help here, anyone has experience playing through a soldano hot rod 50 (the single chan version) ?

This dude is willing to trade me his HR50 for my framus cobra and I can't make up my mind wether to do the trade or not.

I assume the amp will be great for my punkrockish band, but how will it behave under a 7-string schecter with emg's in my other project.

I have an od808 laying around to be used as a boost.

What say ye, to trade or not to trade ?

I would NOT trade...Especially if the punk band is just a side project.

To ME I think Soldano's do sound really good, but its a souped up Peavey sound and I like Cobra better. Just my 2 cents...Although they tend to keep their value really well. Id at least try to find one at a local guitar shop and try it out first.
