i got an offer to trade my 5150 to this Soldano SL60 amp.

I got the info that this one is made in USA and not japan.

It's going to be slightly more timid than the 5150, but they are getting rare now, so I'd go for it.

You could likely sell it on for enough to get another 5150 and have cash left over if you didn't like it, do it

Soldano is a more Milky clean distortion. If your going for HUGE AND BALLSY AND SUPER METAL then keep your 5150, if you want something more versatile that will sound good on anything from Country-Melodic metal then get the Soldano.

bit more "rock" than the 5150, still very cool also for metal.

the SL-60 is the "cheap" version of the HotRod 50

Was going for a white one few years back but missed it cause some one bid crazy moneys on it

Yeah don't let anyone fool you, none of the SL-60's were made in the US. The Hotrod 50 was the one made in the US. Japanese built or not, they are rare and will be worth more than a 5150 ever will be. The price should continue to climb, so even if you don't like it, it would still be a good investment. As was already said, you could always sell it and have enough for a 5150 and some cash leftover.
