Surbiton. The Posh bit
www.elitistrecords.co.uk
It was a cold and rainy day in the middle of nowhere. Luckily we were filming outside, and not only did we have to concentrate on what we were doing, but we were also having to deal with the possibility of hypothermia and trech foot... It's the glamour that made me want to do this in the first place, so i shouldn't complain.

Anyway, here's a few pics. No idea how the final video will look, but all the technical guys and the director seemed to know what they were doing, even if we had no clue.

I'm very curious about this video.

Will it be the full album song or an edit version?

It's an edit of the song, I'm afraid. We had to get it down to about 4 minutes. Anything more than that and it just wouldn't be played anywhere. The cuts aren't too drastic though. The song still keeps it's shape.

hahahaha Julie looks less than impressed, bless her!

Nice going dude! I bet Lex is gonna love doing a video if we ever have the need for one... ;)

Can you tell us what time frames are cut from the original version

+ a release date of the video assoming that it would come out before the actually CD

It's always hard to find the right compromise when editing a song. We tried about three versions and this was the one we all agreed on.

If the video stations would allow longer songs it would make our life easier, but much more than 4 minutes and there's a very good chance the song won't be considered for broadcast at all.

hehe... i'd like to think you had to level many hectares of woodland to make this video!

how are you guys anyway? :)

haha. I actually levelled that and more. With my horn. :loco:

Actually, the Director's brother owns a garden nursery in the middle of nowhere (down the A22 and turn left. It's that bit of the map where it all goes a bit blank...) and we shot it in what was once the old car park. It was a wonderful setting, but unfortunately freezing and raining too. So there you have it. While we did our very best to remain "metal", the truth is we were posing about in a garden centre :)

The director (Ray Moody) pulled out a lot of stops for this one. The budget was pretty small, but we still shot everything on film and had proper lights and crew, etc. He called in a load of favours from the guys he's working with on his day job (he's part of the crew for the Harry Potter movie being made now) and the result is a promo video that looks like it cost at least 10x as much.
