Hey guys, this is the first "mix" I've ever done. I seem to be at kind of a stand still, as it started out as really shitty sounding and now I think it's only kinda shitty sounding. I figure it would help to show some other people and see what they think.

your drums are completely outta balance, there are almost no overheads / room, the kick is too quiet, the snare needs more treble.

I can't hear any bass, is there any bass guitar in there?

guitars are too fizzy, hi-/lo-pass them, lead guitars are too quiet, in general the rhythm guitars are masking the whole mix, cut some freq to make some space for the other instruments.

Thanks for the criticism, I was thinking it was so bad that no one wanted to bother with it.

As someone new I know that the mix doesn't sound right at all, but I don't really have means of knowing just what to correct.

I'm working on correcting everything right now.

start by dealing with your drum sound... there are plenty of threads on how to eq, compress, etc. drums. keep me updated on your progress, cheers.
