they eat a lot of avocadoes

there is a pharmacy on every friggin corner

the bus drivers drive like they're out of their friggin minds..weaving in and out of traffic without signaling, speeding, not coming to a complete stop to let you off, using the horn as often as possible...on the other hand, they give change unlike the US where you have to have exact change, and there's a fuckton of them so you never have to wait long for a bus. all the buses are smaller than US buses and they all look different.

they also walk like they drive, i.e. crosswalks are a quaint formality

they stay out really fucking late, which some of you might not find new and different but it rocks anyway

there's a lot of neo-nazis here, apparently, which makes no sense to any of us

a forty-sized bottle of beer in a bar costs about $1200 (pesos), or $2.40ish american...not too fuckin shabby

everyone here talks really fast and drops the s at the end of words

a lot of stores are closed for an hour or so at midday

there are stray dogs everywhere and nobody pays them any attention...go to any street corner in a commercial area and you're guaranteed to spot at least three

there's anarchist/socialist political graffiti everywhere. there's also just a lot of grafitti everywhere.

people eat dinner late, like 9 o'clock

it rules :kickass:

actually i'm having my secretary in portland transcribe this over the phone while i'm riding on the back of a donkey, wearing a poncho and a giant sombrero. also the streets are paved with tacos, everyone eats burritos for every meal and all the fountains are filled with tequila, but i figured you guys already knew that so i left it out

ahhh, but are there RAPTOR BANDITOS?

(such as these mythical highwaymen of yore?)
