Hey mate! I tried to use audiosnap to quantice a snare track into time...but it doesn´t work fine....any trick or tutorial??? Because I need seriously quantice BD, SN and toms..!!!Thanksss
There's a tutorial that I found that's really useful, I'll try dig it up.
Basically you remove all the transient markers from all the tracks, then bounce a snare/kick/tom track and check all the transients on that, then apply the same markers to the rest and you can move them around without disturbing phase relationships. And since they're all aligned (instead of matching up to each transient, each transient having different delays because of distance), you can just press quantize if the drummer is tight enough and it still works.
But the new version may eliminate the need for this. which is why..
I'm GASing so I purchased my update/upgrade - whichever word they are using today. Waiting for my download link.
I'd really appreciate if you could give some more info on the new version. The Cakewalk site is really vague. The main problem I have is that you basically can't hear what its going to sound like until you render (the realtime stretcher is shithouse and has all sorts of artifacts that you try to fix that aren't even in the final thing), and that rendering takes FOREVER.
The introduction of V-Vocal into Studio is nice (i dont have producer), as I'm getting sick of Melodyne stretching my tracks around. Altho I seem to remember V-Vocal sounded pretty ugly when you moved by much (even like 2 notes), but maybe I just wasn't setting it right. Would appreciate some more info on this too, if you don't mind.
