Sonata's version of Two Minds One Soul tonight on Screaming Symphony

it's an interesting cover.

what's goign on with the new album chris, is it ever goign to be released?!

Heya man , how are you ,
I know you are waiting and losing patience , for this I appologize , but unfortunately we are in the middle of a situation that has to be resolved first before the new album is released, there is nothing wrong with the band , its more like outside interferences at the moment , I cant say more , but I can tell you that the new album has been finished since April and it is getting fucking frustrating to have to go through the business end of bullshit to move forward.
I cant ask for you to be patient with us , you have been all along , but if you can a bit more then I will personally buy you a beer next time I see you , this I promise:)
Take care man , and to anyone else reading this .
Cheers........Chris

Vanishing Point :headbang:

Tangled in Dream is probably my favorite album by an Aussie band ever! Very solid all the way though. If the newie is anything like TID, then sign me up! Then do some shows over in the Hills district area in Sydney (Parramatta, Castle Hill, Blacktown, Seven Hills etc) :headbang:

I second that, do some shows in the Hills district!!!

The cover is on the new Sonata single, which is called "don't say a word" (I think it's called that)..

Hi there , how are you ,
I gotta say , amongst all the emails that I have to reply to daily and believe me today is no exception , your post is awesome and I thankyou for your support , I'll tell the guys tonight at rehearsal , they would be glad to hear it , its been a kinda dark time for us and we are starting to see daylight again !!!
When we get it all out there again , we will definately look at getting up to your neck of the woods, we havent played in New South Wales much in the past , but in future we want to rectify this problem :)
Take care and have a great day peoples :)
Cheers...........Chris :)

Hi Chris. No need to thank me mate. You keep making the great music, and I'll keep buying it. We both win.

I frequent the Mike Portnoy board every day, and I know that VP have alot of fans over there. Infact, it was on that board that I first discovered VP a year or so ago. So you have huge supoprt in the progressive metal genre not only in Oz, but in US as well. Alot of the time, someone will be talking about VP on the MP board, and another forumer will ask about you as they have never heard. Then someone will post links to samples, and you will get rave reviews, so keep up the great work, and lets hope you can actually crack it in the US at some point and do some shows over there.

*grin* Yeah - there was a post about VP on one of the Dream Theater mailinglists a while back and we got all these followups going 'BRIIIIIIIIIING ON THE RAAAAAAAAAAAIN' :headbang:

Is the Ytse Jam mailing list still going? I used to post to that a few years ago. It is the main reason I bought probably 70% of the CDs I currently have.

We Both Win then :)
The new one is a mature and heavier , yet still melodic progression from Tangled , I'll talk to the guys and see if we can post a snippet of a new song on the site , I'll let you guys know :)
Concerning America , we would love to play there in the future , we were very close to going there a while ago , yet we couldnt and we thought its best to get the new album out before we make any plans , but hopefully we will be able to make it over this time, we have fans there from what I know and it would be great to meet some of them , they are some of the nicest people I have recieved emails from :)
I gotta join the Dream Theater forum then heh heh :)
Cheers guys ...........Chris ( Vanishing Point )
