Song I work on rigth now [Mesa TripleRec, metalcore\rock]

hi guys - im working on a song that im producing

guitars are quad tracked with Mesa TripleRectifier- 2 sm57's on\off axis
rhythm guitars are on orange channel - solo's are on red channel
i've used ts-9 with it

drums are tama maple - oh are oktava mics
bass is marshall vba-400

this is a rough mix - comments, suggestions are welcomed

In some parts it's a little hard to follow what the rhythm guitars are doing (a bit too scooped maybe?), but otherwise it sounds pretty good to me.

Same. I'm a dual-track/mids/low gain kind of guy anyway.

But I know what you meant.

There's a part in the song where there's a lead doing a note, it sounds different than the rest of the song, I really liked that kin of "effect". Sounded cool.

Otherwise, it's a good start, I'd personally try to make the lead and rythyms sound a little bit more similar, right now they sound to seperated from each other for my taste.
It's like a rock n roll 80's lead guitar with a 2008 metal rythym player....That's just an example so you get what I mean.

Quite right. I'd try to use less gain / more mids for the rythm sound next time
