a bleak, reflective song of culmination and finality at the end of a long journey, which unexpectedly ends on an unresolved, haunting fade-out, "slowly fading into the dreams of the universe". one of the best and most underrated songs of their career, as tense and evocative as anything they ever wrote; "i am the dawn, i'm the night..." leading into the climax never fails to give me goosebumps.

I've been meaning to post a top 5 moments on Deathcult for Eternity in the top 5 thread and that part you mention ("I'm the dawn, I'm the night!) would definitely make it. In fact I absolutely love everything from 1:30 - 4.00. The rest of the song doesn't quite live up to that for me and is the reason the song as a whole doesn't make my top 5 for the album.
