my list wins

I doubt I've bought new releases this year, so any list I put up would suck. You win, Josh.

Not sure if I've bought ten either. That said, here are the great albums from this year that I remember buying:

Iron Maiden - A Matter of Life and Death
Bruce Springsteen - We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions
Def Leppard - Yeah!
Paul Stanley - Live to Win
Glenn Hughes - Music for the Divine
Muse - Black Holes & Revelations
Trivium - The Crusade

That's all I can think of at the mo. Surely there have been others though...

In no particular order:

Daylight Dies - Dismantling Devotion
Poets Of The Fall - Carnival Of Rust
Poisonblack - Lust Stained Despair
Placebo - Meds
Black Label Society - Shot To Hell
Entwine - Fatal Design

thats about it really. I think it has been a pretty shit year release wise.

I've only bought a small handful of albums this year. Not just because I've been broke, but because there's been nothing of any real interest. :(

Is Chinese Democracy out yet?

The album will not be released this year. Yes, the tour has been a huge success and interest in the band is high - but the record company would not risk such an important release relying on word-of-mouth alone. Unless we see a massive media push of the new Guns n Roses in the next few days, a 2006 release is impossible.
