soundtoys devil loc on drums

so after watching tchad blake on pensado's place, I've been using devil-loc on every single drum mix since.

bussing the snare out to it, distorting the living fuck out of it, and then blending it in underneath by about 30db brings this incredible ringy/roomy life to it.

I do a similar thing. It's great for getting a kickass snare. I don't use devil-loc, though. I'll send to a parallel track and add TLS Saturated Driver (freeware) and a fucktion of compression, then blend it in underneath. IIRC I did this when I did a mix of the TesseracT raws in Practice Room.
