That's pretty cool, but I'm sure I've heard that chord progression a few times before. Also, things could get a bit more epic and dense when the drums come in, maybe add a few more layers? I was always a fan of LASS though, it's just amazing.

Sound like the ol' "I-V-vi-IV" progression

the chord progression is as standard as it gets :P
I updated the track with a few more layers, barely noticable though..

Onqel when are you releasing and album? I'm in love with everything you right. This one sounds a bit like Garry Schyman's Praan.

I would love to do a melodic death metal cover of this. PM me if you are interested!

Cheers

I don't know when I'll be releasing an album :P This is the first I write in a very long time time, this track is "dedicated" to a family-member who decided to end his life earlier this year (hence the title)..

Did you try to add some sort of cinematic trailer type percussion instead of the usual drums? Should work wonders for this track. Don't know if symphobia 1 has some (it should though, right?), only tried symphobia 2. Either that or maybe add some cymbals instead of the hi hat, maybe alternate depending on the part?
Plus the dynamics suggestion above is great too. My friend always makes this kind of stuff and sends it to me, so when I hear anything similar I just can't help myself and start throwing suggestions, even if they aren't that great. :p

shit man, sorry to hear :erk: It's a beautiful piece, you should keep writing, I still have one of your songs on a CD in my car that I listen to frequently :p
