Southern Sludge

I like Weedeater. They're kind of kooky and fun.

Even as a huge Phil Anselmo fan I've never much liked Down. Too middle of the road for me I guess. But maybe I should give them another chance.

I was hanging on the bar for dear life in the front row EyeHateGod at deathfest. There were so many angry, godless rednecks trying to rape each other to death, such a great show.

I do admit some Down songs are pretty down and mellow, but they have some really hardcore songs too, I like it all though.

Also, I bet you still love the fuck out of superjoint ritual though.

Acid Bath is some good stuff. :kickass:

You bet I do!!

I looked for my Down I CD yesterday to give it another spin and I couldn't find it. Ah well...

I saw Eyehategod in Boston a few weeks ago and they ended up getting shut down. I was the guy wearing the Alice In Chains shirt down at the bar drinking and outside smoking.... if anyone remembers the show. I did not care for the opening bands, but eyehategod played all the best songs. I ended up putting soco in my sprit because the opening bands sucked.

I enjoy all of Dax Riggs' music, Acid Bath, Agents of Oblivion, and his solo acoustic shit even, the motherfucker is a god tier vocalist.

Also, some Down songs to give a listen to are Lifer, Rehab, New Orleans is a dying whore, and of course, Stone the Crow.

Now how about Danzig, I know we are talking about sludge, but I can't help adding Danzig to my playlist if I'm rocking these sort of tunes.
