Soy products destroy healthy bones - Beware the Abominable Bean!

I turned on the tv this morning and on sunshine there was this debate about soy milk being a very dangerous thing to drink. The woman telling us this sort of came across like a wacko so I decided to have a look at her website and it has some pretty funny stuff on it.

Oh yeah...straight after that there was an interview with gene simmons on it heh. He said some pretty stupid things. The 2nd half of the interview is on monday morning where he talks about...yes you guessed it...women

Soy does taste like shit...but it was still funny to watch. Soy milk on coco pops is NOT good....it makes em taste like stale rice bubbles.

Soy's OK when you get used to it. You've just been bought up spoilt and rotten. No, it doesn't taste like milk, but that's mainly because it's not milk.

Just tried a veganism kick a little while ago, and soy milk seems to have stuck. (On cereal that is. It sucks right royally in coffee, and in some places (like custard) it's just not quite right.)

I'm a big Soy fan, yes initially the taste sucks (have you ever had OFF Soy - my god it is the worst taste possible). Humans are the only animals that drink another animals milk - it ain't natural. Also farmers feed cows heavy duty food stuffs which end up in the Milk - it ain't natural.

Finally, soy is aweful in practical all foods so suffer it for breakkie and then break out the full cream milk for ya Coffee I do.. The rest of my family (wife & 2 kids) are all Dairy intolerant so I tend to suffer a bit..sob..sob...

My point is, after rudely contradicting myself, do whatever works for you... it's just milk or fake milk anyway who gives a friar tuck?

Veganism? Wow, did you go the whole way, no chicken, no meat, no milk etc. and only have a bowl of steam and grass to eat, along with dirty creek water to drink?

...Although I guess before humans they had a bit of trouble getting it in the bowl. What, with no opposable thumbs and all, how would they have got the bottle open? So maybe cats don't count. And that again may be because of the opposable thumb situation. Hell, who wants a number base of 8? Except maybe computer scientists. And I'm sure they'd much rather use binary and/or Hex. Actually, a cat's probably better of in hex anyway, they could just disregard the fingers and count on their legs. Which would be easy to do 'cause they don't have fingers. Or thumbs. Although they have a tail, which would then give them a number base of 5, and then it's easy enought ot get to base 10. Except those tailless ones. They're stuck in hex. Or binary. And that's why cats can't do maths. Get 'em involved in the arts though and they're guns. They're even good in the "soft" sciences, like psychology, or phliosophy. If you can call that a science. Is the glass half full or half empty sort of thing. Except a cat wouldn't understand the question. No good at fractions, see. What if the glass had milk in it? Then the cat would probably drink it and it would be empty. I wonder if cats like soy?

I was vegetarian for 8 yrs and a vegan for a further 3yrs.Soy milk comes into my diet here and there.It is good to add to potato and leek soup when making gives it a great flavour.If I drank the stuff it would be the flavoured stuff.

I read a big write up on this by some science guy, and it made so much sense that I now find myself cutting back on anything with high carbs, and eating ALOT more meat.
